From Checklist to Connection

When I started my journey toward becoming a certified professional coach, I’ll be honest: I treated it like a giant checklist.

  • Take these classes? Check

  • Coach a certain number of clients? Check

  • Log these specific hours? Check

  • Demonstrate "Technique A" and "Technique B"? Check and Check

A year ago, I embarked on a scripted journey by chasing the checklist and everyone else’s definition of success. I thought being a great coach meant perfectly executing a “must do” script of what to ask, what to say, how to engage.

But the real breakthrough happened when I threw the checklist away.

I am so incredibly proud to share that I have officially earned my certification through the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI) as a Co-Active Professional Certified Coach (CPCC). But more than the certificate, I’m proud of the "unlearning" I did along the way.

The real success didn't come from hitting a metric; it came when I set aside external expectations and focused on my inner purpose. I did the hard work of dismantling my own self-limiting beliefs. I stopped worrying about "doing it right" and started being simply present. I realized that coaching isn't about a formula – it’s about being whole-heartedly focused on the human being sitting across from me (even on zoom)! It’s about being in the moment, together.

I am deeply passionate about helping others maximize their potential. Not the "checklist" version of potential, but the deep, authentic version that emerges when you finally get out of your own way. I couldn't have reached this new worldview without the incredible support of my mentors and the Co-Active community. Now, I’m ready to pay that forward.

If you’re tired of living by someone else’s checklist and are ready to explore what’s actually possible when you tap into your purpose, let’s talk.
